In addition to serving as the Artistic Director of the Colorado Chorale, Kevin T. Padworski is an Assistant Director of the Colorado Children’s Chorale. He is presently pursuing a Doctor of Musical Arts degree in Chorale Conducting and Literature at the University of Colorado Boulder. He has a Master of Music degree in Choral conducting through the University of Denver.
Additional musical groups, with which he collaborates, are the University of Denver, the Colorado Symphony, the Colorado Symphony Chorus, and Opera Colorado.
Padworski has also joined forces with the Jubilate Deo Chorale and Orchestra, the Dallas Symphony, the Colorado Repertory Singers, the Choral Arts Society, the Cincinnati Children’s Choir, the Lamont Symphony Orchestra, Opera Colorado, the Evans Choir, the Lamont Chorale, the Distinguished Concerts International New York Orchestra, and numerous solo and collaborative performances.
He has composed musical works for soloists, instrumental groups, and choral ensembles.
Padworski began his musical studies at age 7, first with piano and then adding saxophone, vocal and organ instruction. At 13, he accepted his first professional organist position.
Upon receiving the Mozart Music Scholarship at Eastern University, he earned a Bachelor of Music degree in Music Education with recitals in saxophone and organ, graduating magna cum laude.
In 2010, Padworski earned a certificate in Leadership from Duke Divinity School and later finished a Master of Music degree in Conducting with Choral Concentration from the University of Denver’s Lamont School of Music, where he was nominated for a Recital of Distinction and was named Outstanding Conductor.
Padworski is a member of ASCAP, Pi Kappa Lambda, the Fellowship of American Baptist Musicians, the American Choral Directors Association, the American Guild of Organists, the National Association for Music Education, and is listed in multiple “Who’s Who” publications.
