The Colorado Chorale has selected Blake Nawa’a as the new Assistant Director as the ensemble celebrates its 52nd season. Nawa’a will begin his tenure November 2021 in anticipation of the Chorale’s return to live performances for the holiday season.

A musician accustomed to wearing many hats, Blake works around the wider Denver metro area as a voice teacher, musical theatre music director, conductor, and soloist.

He has a Master of Music in Vocal Performance and a Master of Music in Choral Conducting.

He sings with many of Denver’s choral ensembles, including St Martin’s Chamber Choir, Anima, the Colorado Bach Ensemble, and the Evans Choir. He also music directs and performs in the Original Dickens Carolers, a Denver-based organization that sends Dickensian-attired quartets to engagements across Colorado during the Christmas season.

Blake is thrilled to be joining the Colorado Chorale as Assistant Conductor and looks forward to diving into music-making during his favorite musical season!

Please join the board in welcoming Blake to the artistic team of the Chorale!
