Swing into spring with the Colorado Chorale’s Vocal Jazz concert, a high-energy evening featuring a full jazz combo. From the smooth stylings of  It Had to be You to the sultry rhythms of Misty and the timeless swing of Blue Skies, this program will have you tapping your toes and dancing in the aisles! Bring your dancing shoes as this is a participatory event for the whole family!

Immerse yourself in a mesmerizing choral journey as the Colorado Chorale collaborates with the Augustana Lutheran Church Chancel Choir to present Kim Andre Arnesen’s ethereal masterpiece, Tuvayhun. This extraordinary work begins from the Beatitudes and responds with new poetry that sheds light on who among us might be in need of blessing: “tuvayhoon” in Aramaic is “blessed.” The texts, ancient and new, are woven into a colorful tapestry of music inspired by a variety of traditions, highlighting the universality of the human experience. Tuvayhun is more than a concert – it’s a celebration of the human spirit, expressed through the unifying power of music.

Reflections on a Mexican Garden
Musical Blossoms

April 5, 2024 | 7:30 p.m. | United Methodist Church, Littleton

Embark on a vibrant musical journey with the Colorado Chorale and the Littleton Symphony. Under the skillful baton of Catherine Sailer, immerse yourself in the enchanting melodies of a Mexican garden. Inspiration for the work was a 1912 poem by Grace Hazard Conkling (1878-1958) entitled Symphony of a Mexican Garden. This poem caught the composer’s eye because of its unique structure built upon none other than Beethoven’s 7th Symphony. From the delicate flutter of butterfly wings to the vibrant colors of blooming flowers, the music will transport you to captivating landscapes of sound.
